The IVF Journey

Six steps, told to you honestly

No jargon. No surprises. Just the truth about what this journey looks like, written for you.

01

Understand your baseline

Initial Bloodwork & AMH Testing

You'll arrive on any morning between day 2 and 5 of your cycle. We'll draw four vials — that's it. Your AMH level, antral follicle count, and FSH together tell us your ovarian reserve: not a verdict, but a starting point. We'll call you by 4 p.m. with your numbers, and a nurse will stay on the phone as long as you need.

Results in 24 hours · No fasting required · Partner welcome

02

10–14 days of careful coaxing

Ovarian Stimulation

Each morning you'll inject a small amount of FSH — we teach you in the office, and most people describe it as easier than they imagined. You'll come in every 2–3 days for a five-minute ultrasound so we can watch your follicles grow. We adjust your dose like a gardener adjusting water: not too much, not too little, just right.

Self-injection training included · 6 monitoring visits · 24/7 nurse line

03

The morning everything comes together

Egg Retrieval Day

You'll arrive at 7 a.m. and we'll already have your sedation prepared. The procedure takes 20 minutes. You won't feel a thing. When you wake up in the recovery room, there will be warm blankets and a nurse named Sarah or Marcus who will tell you exactly how many eggs we retrieved. Most people describe this day as the first time they've felt truly held by the process.

04

Five days in our cathedral-quiet lab

Embryo Culture & Grading

Your eggs and sperm meet in our lab — a climate-controlled room where our embryologists work in near-silence, watching for the first signs of life. By day 3 you'll get a progress call. By day 5, your blastocysts are graded: not ranked like a test, but described like a landscape. We'll explain every letter and number until you understand what you're looking at.

Daily embryo reports · PGT-A testing available · Vitrification for unused embryos

05

A ten-minute act of profound hope

Embryo Transfer

The transfer is gentler than a Pap smear. You'll be awake, and many patients ask to see the ultrasound screen as the embryo — a tiny bright point of light — is guided into place. We ask you to rest quietly for 20 minutes afterward. Some people cry. That's allowed. We have tissues and we don't rush you out.

No anesthesia required · Partner in the room · Aftercare instructions provided

06

We hold your hand through the hardest part

The Two-Week Wait

Fourteen days. We know. You'll have your nurse's direct number. We'll check in on day 7 just to see how you're doing — not clinically, just as people who care. On day 14, you come in for a beta hCG blood test. Whatever the number, we deliver it with context, care, and a clear next step. You will never hear a result without knowing what it means.

Direct nurse access · Day 7 wellness check-in · Same-day results

Patient Stories

Their words, not ours

"

I walked in having Googled IVF for three years and left my first appointment feeling like I finally understood what was actually happening in my own body. They explained my AMH number like it was a weather forecast, not a death sentence.

As a same-sex couple, we'd been turned away from two clinics — not explicitly, just in the way nobody looked at us. At Nurture, the intake form asked 'partner 1' and 'partner 2.' A small thing. It meant everything.

I froze eggs at 37 between two product launches. My nurse called me the day after retrieval just to check in — not with results, just to see how I was feeling. I didn't expect that. I still think about it.
